The Palais Royal Grand Rococo Chandelier draws its identity from the decorative language of Louis XV France, where lighting, furniture and architectural ornament became increasingly fluid, sculptural and expressive. The period’s characteristic rocaille forms, sweeping curves, acanthus foliage and gilded surfaces moved away from the heavier formality of earlier French court design toward a more organic and theatrical interpretation of luxury.
