Placing an Order with HDLS

At HDLS Lighting Ltd, most pieces are produced to order and specified for their intended architectural context. This page outlines what to expect once you decide to proceed with an HDLS lighting commission.

Made-to-Order Production

The majority of HDLS lighting is made to order.

Production lead times are stated on individual product pages or confirmed during the specification stage.

As each piece is crafted specifically for its project — often with customised dimensions or finishes — natural variations in material and hand-crafted elements may occur. These are considered part of the integrity and character of the piece.

Once production has commenced, orders cannot typically be altered or cancelled. Should an order be cancelled after production has begun, 50% of the order value may be retained to reflect work already undertaken, with the remaining balance refunded accordingly.

Order Confirmation & Communication

Following order confirmation, clients receive written acknowledgement outlining the agreed specification and estimated production timeline.

For bespoke or project-based commissions, our team remains available throughout the production period. Where appropriate, visual updates may be shared to provide insight into progress and craftsmanship.

Payments

Payments are processed securely through the HDLS website using approved payment methods presented at checkout or confirmed during specification. We accept all major credit and debit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Maestro. Prices are listed in EUR, USD, and GBP.

For made-to-order and bespoke pieces, staged payment arrangements may apply. All payment terms are confirmed in advance to ensure full transparency. To protect our clients, HDLS does not accept bank transfers. All payments are handled in accordance with recognised payment security standards.

Delivery & International Logistics

HDLS manages international logistics for orders shipped worldwide.

Delivery arrangements are coordinated based on the scale and destination of each piece. Where stated, duties and tariffs are covered or pre-arranged. In some regions, local taxes or customs requirements may apply and are communicated in advance.

Installation & Aftercare

HDLS remains involved beyond delivery.

Installation guidance and technical clarification are available where required, and our team remains accessible should questions arise following installation.

Project Suitability

HDLS lighting is intended for considered residential, hospitality, and architectural projects where scale, proportion, and material integrity matter.

Our collections are not designed for rapid-turn or trend-driven applications.
