1. Understanding Your Space

Every project begins with context.

Before specification or ordering, we consider:

  • Ceiling height and spatial volume
  • Architectural style and material palette
  • Intended function of the space
  • Desired atmosphere and light behaviour

This initial understanding ensures that scale, form, and presence are correctly aligned — avoiding common and costly misjudgements.

2. Specification & Guidance

Our lighting advisors assist with:

  • Selecting the correct size and configuration
  • Confirming finishes and material combinations
  • Assessing suitability for residential or commercial use
  • Clarifying installation requirements

This stage ensures that the chosen piece performs architecturally as intended, not merely visually.

3. Customisation (Where Applicable)

Many HDLS designs allow for thoughtful customisation.

Depending on the collection, this may include:

  • Adjustments to dimensions or suspension length
  • Alternative finishes or material details
  • Project-specific adaptations

Customisation is always approached with restraint, preserving the integrity of the original design.

4. Production & Quality Control

Once specifications are confirmed, each piece enters production.

All HDLS lighting is produced in certified facilities, with attention to:

  • Material integrity
  • Structural precision
  • Finish consistency
  • Electrical safety and compliance

Quality control is carried out before dispatch to ensure the piece meets both aesthetic and technical expectations.

A Transparent Production Period

Once specifications are confirmed, each piece enters production with a typical lead time of approximately 8–10 weeks, depending on the design and finish.

During this period, our clients are not left waiting without visibility. As your lighting fixture is handcrafted, our team provides periodic updates, including photographs and short videos, offering insight into key stages of production.

This transparency allows clients and design teams to follow the progression of their piece with confidence, knowing precisely where it stands — from initial fabrication through to completion.

It is an approach that reflects our belief that craftsmanship should be experienced, not concealed.

5. Delivery & Aftercare

We coordinate international delivery, with shipping and all applicable duties and customs charges covered and managed in advance in full by HDLS.

Our responsibility does not end at dispatch. We remain available to:

  • Clarify installation queries
  • Provide technical documentation
  • Support designers, contractors, and clients post-delivery

This continuity ensures confidence from selection through installation.

A Record of Delivered Projects

Over the past seven years, HDLS Lighting Ltd has supplied lighting for a wide range of residential and commercial projects internationally.

Our work includes bespoke and statement lighting installations for commercial environments, such as the reception chandelier at Palladium House, London, chandelier installations for Damas Jewellery locations in the United Arab Emirates, and lighting supplied for properties within the Plaza Hotel Group in Germany.

In North America, HDLS has supplied lighting for newly built apartment condominiums in California, working in coordination with developers and project teams to meet architectural and technical requirements.

Alongside these commercial projects, HDLS has delivered residential lighting for over 500 private clients across Europe, the United States, the Middle East, and Canada — ranging from single statement pieces to fully specified residential interiors.

This breadth of experience informs every project we undertake, allowing us to guide decisions with practical understanding, discretion, and confidence.
