Returns & Refund Policy – HDLS Lighting Ltd
At HDLS Lighting Ltd, we take great pride in the craftsmanship and quality of our lighting collections. Each piece is carefully inspected and securely packaged prior to dispatch to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.
We understand that certain situations may require review for cancellation, return, or refund. The following policy outlines our terms clearly and in compliance with applicable consumer laws.
1. Order Cancellation
You may request to cancel your order within 7 days of placing it, provided that production has not yet begun. Once an order enters production or has been dispatched, it can no longer be cancelled.

2. Returns Eligibility
Returns are accepted only in rare and exceptional cases, and must be authorised in advance.
To be eligible:

The item must be unused, uninstalled, and in the same condition as received.

It must be returned in its original packaging with all tags and accessories included.

Proof of purchase (invoice or receipt) is required.
All approved returns are subject to a 25% restocking and handling fee.
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs and must use a tracked and insured courier service. HDLS Lighting Ltd is not liable for items lost or damaged during return transit.
3. Non-Returnable & Exempt Items
The following items are non-returnable and non-refundable:

Custom-made or bespoke products, including chandeliers, wall lights, furniture, and wall art made to specific order, finish, size, or material.

Installed or used lighting fixtures.

Sale items and gift cards.
Custom and made-to-order items are exempt from the EU 14-day cooling-off period under Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(c).
This exemption applies because each product is produced to the buyer’s specifications.
4. Faulty or Damaged Items
All orders must be inspected immediately upon delivery.
If an item arrives damaged or defective, you must notify us within 72 hours of receipt, including photographic evidence of the issue.
Once verified, we will:

Offer a replacement part or full replacement, or
-
Issue a partial or full refund, depending on the severity of the issue.
Claims made after 72 hours may not be eligible for replacement or compensation.
5. Exchanges
Due to the made-to-order nature of our chandeliers and wall lights, exchanges are not available for these items.
Exchanges may be considered only for table lamps, at the sole discretion of HDLS Lighting Ltd.
If approved, all shipping costs (return and re-delivery) will be borne by the customer.
6. EU Cooling-Off Period (Applicable Only to Table Lamps)
In compliance with EU law, customers in the European Union have a 14-day right to cancel orders only for our table lamp range.
This right does not apply to chandeliers, wall lights, wall art, or furniture, as these are custom-made and fall under the exemption for personalised goods.
To exercise this right, items must be:

Returned unused, uninstalled, and in their original condition and packaging,

Accompanied by proof of purchase.
7. Refunds
Once a return is received and inspected, you will be notified of the approval or rejection of your refund.
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 10 business days.
Please allow additional time for your bank or payment provider to process the refund.
If more than 15 business days have passed since your refund was approved, contact us at info@homedecorlightstore.com.
8. Unauthorised Returns or Chargebacks
Items returned without prior authorisation will not be accepted.
If a customer initiates a chargeback or credit claim without valid grounds or in violation of these terms, HDLS Lighting Ltd reserves the right to challenge the dispute and pursue legal recovery, including associated fees.
